The storm tube or thunder drum features a tube with a resonant head on the end with a spring attatched to the head. By shaking the tube the long spring begins to move and vibrate the resonant head creating a thunder like sound which is amplified through the top of the tube. The bigger the tube the louder and deeper the sound.
