Casio CTK-240 Electronic Keyboard
Take the First Step - The Magic of Making Music
The CTK-240 electronic keyboard from Casio is an ideal starter keyboard for any budding musician. With 100 sounds and 100 accompaniment styles, the CTK-240 is ready to inspire your first steps in music making.
The CTK-240 has 49 full-size keys, which can be used to play any melody you choose. It is also possible to use the keyboard to play left hand chords and bring your performance alive with exciting automatic accompaniments. You can also play along to any of the 50 built-in songs.
Portable and lightweight, the CTK-240`s compact design includes a built-in dual speaker system which is perfect for enjoying music wherever the family may be. Headphones can also be connected for silent practice.
Explore 50 songs
The CTK-240 has a large library of built-in songs to listen to, including favourites such as Jingle Bells and Silent Night to Auld Lang Syne and London Bridge. Every song includes extra instrument tracks that play along with the main tune, as if you were in the middle of a virtual orchestra. Each song can be played as fast or as slow as you wish and it is also possible to mute the melody track so that you can play it on the keyboard. Complete a whole melody and the keyboard congratulates you by adding applause at the end!
Learn to play melodies and chords with automatic accompaniment
As well as the built-in songs, you can also play your own melodies and add chords to them. Automatic accompaniments produce instant backings that follow the notes that you play with your left hand.
49 full-size keys - The keys on the CTK-240 are the same size as those on a traditional piano. With a four octave range, it is possible to learn to play right hand melodies, left hand chords and even play with both hands together.
The 100 sounds cover a range of different musical instrument families, including grand pianos, guitars, trumpets, saxophones and much more. Some sounds are split voices, meaning that the lower area of the keyboard has a different sound to the higher range. There are also layered sounds: selecting these makes the keyboard play two different sounds at the same time.
The keyboard also has percussion sounds and sound effects that can be played using the keys.
Each of the 100 rhythms feature a backing track of bass, drums and other accompanying instruments that follow the notes you play in the chord area of the keyboard. The volume of the backing track can be varied and you can add interesting variations to the drum track by using the Fill-In button.
